Next semester, backpacks are over. Sure they were useful for quite some time, but their time has come. I'm all about the above "Jitney Canvas Weekender" from Urban Outfitters. I refuse however to use the strap because there is nothing I hate more than when people turn a completely adequate bag into a messenger bag. Handles all the way!

The Playlist: Chromeo

I am totally into Chromeo these days. If you havent heard of them, they are this ultra-hipster electrofunk band from New York City and Montreal. Above is "Bonafide Lovin". Check out a bunch of their songs on their myspace page. Enjoy!

What I'm Diggin: Sixteen Candles

One of my favorite hobbies is to watch old movies for style inspiration. Recently I was lucky to catch "Sixteen Candles", one of my favorite 80's movies starring some of the brat pack. While Samantha's looks may need some work in order to be relevant today, I am totally digging Jake and Ted's style decisions (all of whom can be found on the cover below). Jake's straight leg military style pants, his tartan shirt, as well as Ted's straight leg jeans could not be more appropriate this winter.

In regards to those amazing "lego accessories" from the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection, I found these pretty amazing lego advertisements. Does anybody else remember making such simple little pieces and imagining they were something real? I miss my imagination!
